Braces Color Wheel Miami Lakes

The braces color wheel gives Miami Lakes patients who want to make their orthodontic treatment more fun some awesome options. We know wearing braces is a big deal and picking bright colors can make it more enjoyable for people of all ages. The color wheel has dozens of bright colors to choose from to show off your personality and get the smile you want.

Patients can make better choices about which elastic bands to use if they know how the braces color wheel works. We use little, colorful rubber bands called ties or ligatures to keep the orthodontic wire in place on each bracket. These little bands come in a lot of different colors and patients can mix and match them however they want. We also change these bands at every adjustment appointment which gives patients a chance to try out different color combinations on a regular basis.

As manufacturers come out with new tints and finishes the number of colors on our braces color wheel grows. Red, blue and yellow are the main colors, purple, green and orange are secondary colors. We also have colors that change with the seasons, metallic tints and colors that shine in the dark. Clear and tooth colored bands are also available for those who want a more subtle look.

Popular color combinations are often based on what’s popular right now, what people like or school pride. A lot of kids wear their school colors to show pride during sports games and other special events. Some people choose colors that match their skin tone or eye color to look their best. Younger patients like to try out bold, bright combinations while older patients sometimes prefer more classic options.

We want our patients at Specialty Smiles to have fun picking out colors while still thinking about practical things. Colors like navy blue, forest green or burgundy that are darker can make teeth look whiter by contrast. On the other hand, lighter colors like yellow, orange or light green can make teeth look more yellow. We help patients think about these things so they can get the look they want.

Seasonal color choices make orthodontic treatments more fun all year long. In the fall patients ask for orange and black for Halloween or warm earth tones that match the changing leaves. During the winter holidays they ask for red and green combinations. In the spring they ask for pastel colors and bright, happy colors. Red, white and blue combinations or colors that remind you of the tropics are common in summer appointments.

Choosing the right colors for your braces may have more than just aesthetic benefits. Patients who are happy with how they look tend to smile more and take better care of their teeth. We see that patients who like their color choices generally look forward to their adjustment appointments and follow treatment directions better. So, the color wheel is more than just a pretty thing.

For our Miami Lakes patients, certain events and occasions often influence their color choices. There are several big events that might make you want to choose certain colors, like school dances, graduation ceremonies and family portraits. We help our patients choose colors for these big occasions so they can feel good about how they look at important times in their lives.

You have to take care of your colored braces the same way you do your regular braces. But some foods and drinks can stain lighter colored bands making them look dirty between visits. We tell patients about foods that can stain their teeth and how to keep the colors they chose after treatment.

Changing colors makes the orthodontic experience new and fun. Patients don’t have to stick with one color scheme for the whole time they are being treated. This chance to change things often lets people try new things and not get bored throughout extended treatment times. Our staff at 6 Month Braces programs also use fun colors to make even shorter treatment times more fun.

We think letting patients choose the color of their braces using the color wheel helps them feel excited and confident about their orthodontic experience while getting great treatment results.
