Teeth Orthodontic Braces North Miami

We are very proud to offer both traditional braces and the newest Invisalign treatment options to families who come to us looking for the best ways to straighten and improve their teeth. At Specialty Smiles, we’ve seen amazing changes in our patients’ smiles and self-esteem thanks to several types of orthodontics. Over the years, the field of teeth straightening has changed a lot. We’re delighted to provide our North Miami community the most innovative and successful treatments available today.

Invisalign is a new way to correct crooked teeth that has revolutionized how people think about getting their teeth straightened. Invisalign employs a series of custom-made, translucent plastic aligners that fit tightly over the teeth. This is different from traditional braces, which use metal brackets and wires that are permanently affixed to the teeth. Patients usually wear each pair of aligners for around two weeks before moving on to the next one in their treatment series. Each aligner is made to produce modest, precise changes.

Braces for kids and Invisalign both have the same basic goal: to move teeth into the right position. However, they do this in quite different ways. Traditional braces provide constant pressure on the teeth through a system of brackets that are glued to the teeth and connected by wires that are adjusted during adjustment appointments. Millions of patients have been successfully treated with this tried-and-true procedure, which is still quite good at fixing complicated orthodontic problems.

Invisalign is different from regular braces since it is more convenient and private for patients during their therapy. When worn, the clear aligners are almost impossible to see, so people can keep their natural look at work, at social gatherings, and in everyday life. Many of our patients have told us how much they appreciate being able to grin confidently while getting their braces without worrying about how they look.

Invisalign aligners are better for your lifestyle than fixed orthodontic braces since you can take them off. Patients can take off their aligners to eat, so they don’t have to worry about not being able to eat certain foods or having food become stuck in their braces. People can keep eating all of their favorite meals during treatment because they don’t have to worry about damaging their braces with hard or sticky foods.

Invisalign is also much easier to keep your mouth clean than traditional braces. Patients can take off their aligners to brush and floss like normal, which helps them keep their teeth and gums healthy while they are getting treatment. To clean around brackets and wires with traditional braces, you need particular tools and methods. Also, food can quickly get stuck in hard-to-reach spots.

We use cutting-edge digital technology at our North Miami office to plan and keep an eye on Invisalign treatment with amazing accuracy. During the first visit, we use digital scanning to make a detailed 3D model of the patient’s teeth. This lets us plan out the whole treatment process from beginning to end. This technology helps us show patients exactly how their teeth will move and what their final results will look like before treatment even starts.

Invisalign treatment normally takes the same amount of time as traditional braces, which is usually between 12 and 24 months, depending on how complicated the case is. But a lot of patients say that Invisalign is more comfortable and easier to use than regular braces. The smooth plastic doesn’t bother the soft tissues in the mouth like metal brackets and wires can, especially when you first start using them.

We carefully look at each patient’s specific orthodontic needs at Specialty Smiles to figure out which treatment will work best for them. Invisalign can fix a lot of common alignment problems, but for some more complicated cases, traditional braces may still be better since they provide you more exact control. We promise to always provide the treatment choice that will give each patient the healthiest, most attractive smile possible, taking into account their lifestyle and treatment goals.
